Hosting

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, operated by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare processes the data arising on access as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Delivery runs over a worldwide server network, so processing may also take place outside the EU. The basis for this is the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Accessing the site (server log files)

When the site is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, volume of data transferred, referrer and browser identification.

Purpose: delivering the page, stability and abuse prevention.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is secure and uninterrupted operation.
Retention: logs are deleted or truncated after 30 days at the latest. They are not combined with other data.
Recipients: Cloudflare, Inc. as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR, covered by a data processing agreement.

No cookies, no analytics, no external content

No cookies are set and no recognition technologies are used. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served exclusively from this site's own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts, analytics services or social networks. Consent under section 25 TDDDG is therefore not required, and no cookie banner is needed.

Links to Instagram, LinkedIn and the OpenStreetMap map service are simple links, shown as text or as an icon. No data is transmitted unless such a link is clicked. After that, the respective provider's privacy policy applies.

Storing your colour scheme choice

The site automatically follows your device's light or dark setting; nothing is stored for that. Only if you use the switch at the top of the page to choose a different colour scheme does your browser keep that choice in its local storage (localStorage) under the key “theme”, so it carries over to the next page. The only value stored is “light” or “dark”. The entry never leaves your device, is not sent to the server and is not used to recognise you. If you switch back to your device's scheme, the entry is deleted; you can also remove it at any time in your browser settings.

Legal basis: section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Storing the entry is strictly necessary to provide a function you have expressly requested; consent is therefore not required.

This website has no contact form. If you get in touch by email, the information you send is processed in order to handle your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Retention: until the enquiry has been dealt with, at most until statutory retention periods expire.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal message to the email address above is sufficient to exercise them.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR.

Encryption

All traffic is served over HTTPS. Requests over HTTP are redirected to HTTPS.
