Regenerative Grower
Regenerative cultivation is the only direction with a future.
Two seasons in California's Emerald Triangle, Senior Grower at a German cannabis association, and the conviction that soil isn't a substrate, it's a memory.
This is where I document what I learn. Farms, people, cultivation systems, expeditions.
Organic is not the same as regenerative
Organic answers one question: what's not in the input. No mineral salts, no synthetic pesticides. That's an ingredient list.
Regenerative answers a different one: what the system builds over time. Whether the soil gets more alive season over season, or whether it just gets refilled and swapped out again, this time with certified products instead of mineral ones.
An operation can be one hundred percent organic certified and still start from zero every season. The ingredient list checks out, the system behaviour stays the same.
Currently
In October and November 2026 I'm on the Nepal Heritage Landrace Expedition. Four weeks across several regions, including valleys in the west where usable maps barely exist online.
We're documenting traditional cannabis populations, charas culture, and the communities that have carried both for generations. Field notes and photographs during the trip, a documentary afterwards.
