Daniel Morford runs the farm in its third generation. Potatoes, fruit trees and cannabis grow on the same hillside, not in separate zones. Permaculture that actually functions as one system.
Walter Wood grows an entire season on under 60 dollars in inputs. JADAM, compost, bay laurel from the hills behind the house. Everything he buys fits in a jacket pocket.
Neighbour to Sunrise Gardens, which is why I was there often and also helped out. The founder comes from Hawaii and brings the corresponding ease to the farm.
A small operation with under ten people, but an incredible diversity of flowers, fruit and vegetables, because they are at the farmers market every week. Working around the clock. You feel that kind of internal motivation on the farm immediately.
Extremely professional facility with four employees growing over a hundred strains in perfection.

I met Mark first at ICBC, then again at the Mendo Cup, long before I ever set foot on his farm. Then a pheno there with a strawberry note so sharp it almost read as artificial.
